As the millions of current Facebook users login to their accounts this weekend, they will be delighted to see that Facebook has released their new re-design which is in my opinion quite impressive! Lets look at some of the new features and what has changed.
The New Facebook has several new features including a cleaner tabbed interface, and is overall “less-cluttered” in its design. There is seperate tabs for photos, your wall, and even your applications. A great improvement to what had become a major problem, overcrowding of applications. If you are not currently seeing the new design, logout of your account and then login again. Alternatively you can access the “new” site at The New Facebook.
So was this new design a surprise?
The answer to this is no. Facebook developers and designers have been using user feedback to shape the new design and use creative ideas to make it a success. They have been keeping users updated via their Facebook page http://www.new.facebook.com/FacebookPreviews and though no exact date was ever set it was anticipated for sometime.
In conclusion I feel the new Facebook Design is pretty awesome! I think they have done a great job with it… comment below and let us know what you think.
